Noteworthy Feature Releases – AudienceStream – May 2016

Connector: Google AdWords Customer Match (New)

Leverage Tealium's and DoubleClick’s integration to deploy and mange DoubleClick's client side Tag, as well as for sending DoubleClick enriched Visitor Profiles and Audiences created in Tealium AudienceStream for more personalized advertising. DoubleClick Ad Exchange is a real-time marketplace that helps ad networks, agency holding companies, and emerging third-party technology providers maximize ROI across millions of sites.

Audience: Rule Update to query a Tally

You now have the ability to build a load rule based on the count of a key’s value in a Tally. For example, if your Tally contains a key of “Jacket” and you want the rule to check if the value of “Jacket” is greater than “10”, you would build the rule as follows.

Rules: Dependencies (Update)

Previously, the order of actions taken on attributes was solely dependent on enrichments. Meaning, the dependency only directly controlled the order if an attribute was directly updated based on another attribute. For example, “Set Rolling Sum Based on Timeline” for a Metric, or “Increment Tally By List” for a Tally.

We have updated AudienceStream to also control the order of actions taken on attributes at the rule level. This means that if attribute1 depends on attribute2 via a rule (e.g., attribute2 > 100) then attribute2's enrichments should be executed before attribute1.

For new profiles, rule dependency will be enabled by default. For existing profiles, rule dependency will be disabled by default, however Tealium admins can enable. Upon enablement, AudienceStream will validate whether rule dependency can be turned on. If the validation fails due to a circular dependency, it will need to be resolved before it can be turned it on. Your Account Manager can work with our Solutions Support team to help resolve any issues.

User Interface Speed (Update)

For clients with a large number of Enrich settings (Rules, Attributes, Audiences) the user interface would be very slow to load the configurations. This made the interface cumbersome to use. We have made a performance update that allows the interface to load the configurations much more quickly. A client with 1500+ attributes, 900+ rules, and 50+ audiences can now load attributes in less than 10 seconds.
