Tag Configuration in Tealium iQ

Adding the Tag

Tealium iQ's Tag marketplace offers a wide variety of Tags. Click here to learn how to add a Tag to your profile.

Configuring the Tag

  1. Title (Required): Enter a descriptive title to identify the Tag instance.
  2. Client (Required): Enter the numeric client ID provided to you by Tribal Fusion. Example: 746537
  3. d (Optional): Set this field to the value of the "d" parameter specified in the Tribal Fusion pixel. Note: The default selection is set to "30". If you do not wish to send this value, select "N/A".
  4. ev (Required): Select the value of the 'ev' parameter that Tribal Fusion has specified in its tracking pixel. By default, this is set to "1".
  5. Default Page Name (Optional): Enter the default page name that you are tracking with this Tag. Example: "homepage" Note: If you want to override this value, use the mapping toolbox (see Setting up Mappings).

Applying Load Rules

Load Rules determine when and where to load an instance of this Tag. The 'Load on All Pages' rule is the default Load Rule. To load this Tag on a specific page, create a new load rule with the relevant conditions.

Tip: Loading this Tag on "All Pages" ensures optimal performance of this Tag.

Setting up Mappings

Mapping is the simple process of sending data from a data source, in your Data Layer, to the matching destination variable of the vendor Tag. The Mapping toolbox for this Tag does NOT offer any pre-defined destination variables. However, you can specify custom (more like 'user-defined') variables to function as the Tag's destination.

This Tag allows you to send the 'Default Page Name' value via mapping: s elect the appropriate data source from the drop-down list and enter the destination in the adjacent textfield (see example screenshot below).

Note: We recommend that you add the E-Commerce Extension and configure the _corder variable. This allows the Extension to map the Order ID value to its corresponding Tag destination.
