Configure Settings

Go to the Connector Marketplace and add a new connector. Read the Connector Overview article for general instructions on how to add a connector.

After adding the connector, configure the following settings:

  • Username
    • Password access must be enabled in the Zendesk Support admin interface at Admin > Channels > API.
    • If an agent or admin has enabled 2-factor authentication in their user profile, they will not be able to use basic authentication.
  • Password
  • Subdomain
    • The unique subdomain for your Zendesk account.
    • Example: <subdomain>.zendesk.com.
    • Only input the subdomain, not the full domain.

Click Next or go to the Actions tab. This is where you configure connector actions.

This section describes how to set up parameters and options for each action.

Action - Create or Update User

Parameters

Parameter Description
Email
  • Email address of the user.
Name
  • Name of the user.
User Properties
  • Any custom user properties to add to the user profile.
Role
  • If you don't specify a role parameter, the new user is assigned the role of end-user.
  • For more information, see Create or update user.
User Verified
  • If you need to create users without sending out a verification email, pass a "verified": true parameter.
Organization Name
  • The user can also be added to a named organization by adding an organization name.

Action - Create New Ticket with Requester

Parameters

Parameter Description
Subject
  • The subject of the ticket.
Comment
Requester Name
  • Name of the user submitting the ticket.
Requester Email
  • Email of the user submitting the ticket.
Priority
  • Allowed values are urgent, high, normal, or low.
Type
  • Allowed values are problem, incident, question, or task.
Tag
  • A tag to add to the ticket. Note that the tags replace any existing tags.
