How do you interact with Tealium’s products on a daily basis?

Currently looking into enhancing our Tealium iQ setup, especially making it more dynamic and easier to update. I have previously been working on AudienceStream and refining the rules making sure the data entering into these audiences are accurate.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I enjoy spending time with family, the occasional football, binge watching TV shows and playing or participating in online gaming.

What do you see as the hottest trends in technology today?

Lots of talk about machine learning and AI is creating a lot of new technologies around it. I have seen many ready-to-go machine learning products come onto the market recently. Privacy / Consent / Security is something that will become more and more embedded into our technology and software. Automation especially in transport: cars, planes and trains, which all need good high quality data to get better automation systems.

How can an organization stay relevant five years from now?

Introducing a good foundation for data and letting the current data team learn, experiment, and expand knowledge. I think collaborating with other experts in various industries is very useful.

What do you consider most promising in the era of big data?

I think with all this data it will help accelerate research in many areas. Especially in medicine which is quite exciting.

What app would be hard for you to live without?

Shamefully that would be Candy Crush, it’s a great way to relax and switch off from stress. Then it is just Facebook to stay in contact with family and friends around the world.

What was the worst job you’ve ever had?

Working in a warehouse for a catalogue company. The order would come in with a loud dinging bell, we actually had to put a sock on it to dampen the annoying sound, once the order comes into the warehouse we would run around endless aisles of products on shelves trying to locate all the items on the list, it was very boring and tiring.

If you could meet any historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Most probably Leonardo Da Vinci, this man was an absolute genius, the way he thought and solved problems. I really want to ask what was his inspiration, what was the thought process, truly incredible what was achieved by this man in his era.

And lastly… If you woke up tomorrow as an animal, what animal would you choose to be and why?

A cat, because they are the masters of relaxation and owning their environment, they get lots of attention, food and cuddles.
