by 3 weeks ago (27 Views)

PebblePost's Programmatic Direct Mail® solution helps digital marketers connect online interest and intent to offline, tangible media that converts. Marketers can leverage the custom data segments they have created in Tealium to now target consumers with a relevant, longer-lasting, in-home media impression, and analyze performance in real-time based on response path activity and on-site conversions. This article describes how to configure PebblePost in your Tealium iQ account.

Tag Configuration

First, go to Tealium's Tag Marketplace and add the PebblePost Tag to your profile (how to add a Tag?).

After adding the Tag, configure the below settings:

  1. PebblePost Marketer ID: This will be an integer value (i.e. 123456) provided by PebblePost.

Load Rules

Load Rules determine when and where to load an instance of this Tag on your site.

Recommended Load Rule: All Pages

Data Mappings

Mapping is the process of sending data from a Data Layer Variable to the corresponding destination variable of the vendor Tag. For instructions on how to map a Variable to a Tag destination, see Data Mappings.

The destination variables for the PebblePost Tag are built into its Data Mapping tab. Available categories are:

Standard

Destination Name Description
Customer Email (email) The email address for the customer.
Synthetic Endpoint (end_url) The URL trigger for the transaction. The PebblePost tag triggers campaign logic based on URL value, if your page will not provide one you may pass an artificial URL value here (e.g. "/thankyou").
Customer Tag (tags) A custom value you may pass through the PebblePost tag.

E-Commerce

Since the PebblePost Tag is e-commerce enabled, it will automatically use the default E-Commerce Extension mappings. Manually mapping in this category is generally not needed unless:

  • You want to override any Extension mappings
  • Your desired e-commerce variable is not offered in the Extension
Destination Name Description
Order ID (order_id) The ID for the order being placed.
Order Total (order_total) The total for the order being placed.
Customer Id (customer_id) The ID of the customer making the order being placed.
