Audience Retention

Hi All,

I have a question regaridng Tealium Audiences. 

I am trying to set-up a timeline for one of my Audience within Tealium. Eg. If I have audience set-up for the users who have visited my website and not converted and retargeting those audiences but I do not want to keep the audiences for more that 15 days in the audience list. I have gone thorugh the tealium documenattio of Profile Retention which is default set to 395 days but this would be for all the audiences in my profile, how about if I want to have 15 days for the above example and 60 days for another audience.

Please if someone can answer this would be very helpful.

I think we could not set the retention period for each visitor, if the users need to be deleted , use some API or delete it from UI, it will take 24 hours to reflect in the CDP

Thank you for your response, so within Tealium we cannot do that. Would you know if it is possible to use the timeline attribute for this used case?

Hi!

Yes, you can set different retention periods for different audiences in Tealium. To do this, you need to use the Audience Retention settings in the Tealium iQ Platform.

Here are the steps on how to set different retention periods for different audiences in Tealium:

1. In the Tealium iQ Platform, open your profile.
2. In the "Audiences" section, click on the "Audience Retention" tab.
3. In the "Audience Retention" section, you will see a list of all of your audiences.
4. For each audience, you can set the retention period in days.
5. Once you have set the retention periods for all of your audiences, click on the "Save" button.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind:

• The default retention period for all audiences is 395 days.
• You can set the retention period for an audience to be any value between 1 day and 395 days.
• If you do not set a retention period for an audience, the default retention period of 395 days will be used.
