I created a variable to capture Google's gclid as a query string type, but can't link it to EventDB

I created variable to capture Google GCLID as a query string type, but even if I enabled to make it EventDB enabled attribute, it still doesn't show up in Amazon Redshift's columns in event table.

1) What are the steps to make sure query string and it's values are coming into EventDB

2) Are there any documentations that highlights the steps or best practice on how to use query string parameter in data layer other than using it under mapped data source for tags?

@kathleen_jo

No, my question is not about GUA.

Just a guess, but maybe the variable type has to be UDO rather than a Query String Parameter?

For EventDB (and Amazon Redshift) to recognize a new column in the event table, what would be the requirements or what is that we need to take into consideration of?

Hi @kris_irizawa,
Would you please have a check in AudienceStream >> Action >> Data Access Console >> Show EventDB Attributes?

You may wish to further check if that particular Event Attribute is checked in the modal box, please save and publish after the changes.

Thanks.

Does it matter if it's a UDO or Querystring type in data source, @marchi-lau?

By the way, it works now.  Thanks!

@kirs_irizawa, the recent updated AudienceStream allows user to create event base attributes, which waive the dependency of mirroring UDO/Query String config from iQ.
So the AudienceStream can pick up the data without creating UDO/Querystring as iQ Data Source.

Hope this clarifies. Thanks.
