We have a data layer on the site that we use for tagging and profiling. We would like to inject some additional data that resides outside of the website in the form of flat files. Is this possible?

Hello @sriram_venkatac. It is indeed. Please read the following document and let me know if you have any other questions:

Thank you for the super quick response. One more question - Is this data that we inject through flat files usable by TIQ as well? Or is it restricted to only AudienceStream access?

@sriram_venkatac That depends on the type of Attributes are enriched when you bring the data in. You have the option of using Data Layer Enrichment for certain Attributes: https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/AudienceStream/Data-Layer-Enrichment/ta-p/684
Badges, Metrics (numbers), Traits (strings), Flags (boolean), and Dates are automatically sent to your Tealium iQ profile for use in Load Rules, Mappings, and Extensions where required.

One more question along the same lines.
If we want to use data from a flat file only for TIQ and not AudienceStream, is it possible? If yes, where does this flat file data reside in Tealium? If we have a weekly job that we use to inject the flat file (offline) data, how can we use that data later from within Tealium IQ for tagging purposes without AS?

I believe the Data Layer Enrichment feature is what you are looking for. You can read more about it here:
