Setup Tealium for Salesforce

Looking for assistance in setting up Tealium for Salesforce. I followed the instructions here but what is missing is the required steps on the Salesforce side. Apparently you need to create a dev account that you can test the code on before being able to push it to production. In addition you need to create and run unit tests within a dev sandbox but due to my limited Salesforce dev knowledge I am unsure how to set everything up. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello @rchase.

You can find more information about how to create Developer and Sandbox organisations on https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.apexcode.meta/apexcode/apex_intro_get_dev_account....

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I already got everything set up for testing.

For anyone else looking to get the AudienceStream and SF integration set up I would recommend waiting until Tealium releases their app to the Salesforce app exchange. The app will greatly simplify the process of configuring the integration and eliminate the need for doing any code development.

@rchase and when is that expected? And which module do you want to connect to Tealium? Service Cloud? Commerce Cloud? Is that all then integrated in this "app"? Thanks.

@sergenial The app is expected to be released early next year and replaces what is outlined in the Tealium for Salesforce documentation. Essentially the app installs all of the necessary code and provides a visual interface for field mapping and selecting the Salesforce objects you'd like to hook into.

My use case is that I'd like to pass user data back to Audiencestream from Salesforce when records are added or updated. This will allow me to enrich the existing behavorial data in order to build audiences for marketing and testing/personalization.
