Testing Audience Stream before going live

Okay @kathleen_jo I'm going to try out this new format. Deep breath.

• I am a marketer
• who wants to test my Audience Stream setups
• so that they are not live on production right away. Like we can in Tealium IQ. Is this possible?
• How can Tealium help?

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are almost here so knowing this would help.

Hi @Eve. Audiencestream is always live in the sense it retrives data and acts upon it accordingly. To test out things must be done carefully and systematic. One approach is to introduce a badge that indicates test-run, a "Test Badge" that you must include where you need to control the effect. Usually you want to avoid visitors being added to certain audiences that will fire actions.

Set the badge from the querystring with something like ?RunAsTest=True and then you can use that badge everywhere needed in Audiencestream to control that those things being tested occurs only in a controlled way.
