This document describes where your data is stored during the data collection period and beyond, and the access controls used to protect that data.
In this document:
Predict data is stored using S3 Server-Side Encryption (SSE) and strict Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies to ensure that only necessary internal services can access the data.
In the Machine Learning industry in general, the data produced by a model typically resides in a newly-created silo. The data remains siloed, even after the model is successfully integrated into an your systems and applications. For this reason, there is no guarantee that the data output by the model is fully integrated. Siloed data makes activation and the ability to achieve real business value difficult.
The Tealium Predict product is implemented on each of the Tealium regional infrastructures to ensure that none of your data changes region when using the product. For example, if your general Tealium account uses an Australia-based infrastructure, then your usage of Predict occurs on that same infrastructure to ensure security.
Data usage is consistent with your contracted terms for AudienceStream. Your data is only used for Tealium features. Data is not shared or sold, does not cross regions, and is protected by Tealium's general security and privacy protocols.
AudienceStream and your data is fully protected and compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Using Predict, you can set the retention and storage period for related data when signing up for Predict. Contact your account manager if you have concerns about data retention periods.
General usage of the Tealium Predict product does not require a third party or entity accessing or viewing your data.
When your Predict packaging and services include assistance with data readiness, the Tealium internal data science team does have access to your models and training datasets to help ensure the quality of your machine learning models.
