This document describes how to add a model, select your target attributes and prediction timeframe, and then name your model and attribute for future use.

Get Started by Adding a Model

Use the following sections as a guide to add a model and get started.

Add a Model and Select your Target Attribute

Add a model and select your target attribute:

  1. In the left sidebar, click Predict.
    The Predict Overview displays.
  2. Click + Add Model.
    The Add Model dialog displays.

  3. In the What would you like to predict? field, select a target attribute from the drop-down list.
    This is the AudienceStream attribute you will use to define your model and represent the user action being predicted. You can use the plain language indicators and health status that displays to the right of each attribute to help you decide.

Select a Prediction Timeframe

Select a prediction timeframe:

  1. In the What is your prediction timeframe? field, enter a number for the number of days, weeks, or months you want to predict.
  2. Select days, weeks, or months from the drop-down list.

Name your Model and Output Attribute

Name your model and output attribute:

  1. In the Name your Model field, enter a descriptive name for this model.
    Use a meaningful name, for example: Likelihood to Purchase in Next 1 Days.
  2. In the Output Attribute Name field, accept the default name based on your model name or enter your own descriptive name for this output attribute.

  3. In the optional Notes field, enter any descriptive notes that will help users understand what this model is intended to predict.
  4. Click Next to proceed to the next screen, where you will choose the data to act on.
