Adobe Target - Tag using old at.js code?

Hi,

I'm currently looking into adding Adobe Target through iQ, and to me, it seems like the iQ tags for both sync- and async, includes a rather old version of at.js.

I understand that at.js replaces mbox.js, and can see that the version available in iQ is 0.8.0, but when I look at Adobes version history for that file, 0.8.0 is from May 5, 2016, being initial version of the file.
The newest version available from Adobe directly, is version 1.2.2, from some point later than August 2017.

Am I doing something wrong here, or am I looking at the wrong iQ tags?
If not, how should I best use a newer version than 0.8.0?

I just wanted to hear from the community, before creating a support case.

Best regards

Peter

@pmeyerdk

We are currently developing a brand new tag with updates to the utag.sync.js file, for the new at.js code.

This will have the ability to talk with the Marketing Cloud Visitor Service Tag, and have a more seamless Flicker Free solution. This version of the tag has at.js version 1.2.1.

This new tag is currently in Beta and can be activated if you wish to try it.

If you would, please reach out to your account manager or support to get the new Tag & Extension added to your profile.

@leejon

This tag is still in Beta, but hopefully for not much longer. We are still waiting for the final feedback, at which point we will then release this fully, removing the current 2 from the marketplace.

I would imagine, all being well, it should be released within a month.

Hi @leejon,

We are actually using the beta version on several production site now, and haven't experienced any problems.
But we are looking forward to the release anyways, to get it sorted properly, and have manual fixed to the code "included" automatically.

We are in the process now of disabling the current Tags + extension and enabling the new tag & extension to be live.

Hi @adrian_browning

Was this publicly released in the end?

Hi  @TimH,

Yes, it has recently been released as the public tag, and default way of adding Adobe Target through Tealium iQ.
It consists of one asynchronous tag and one extension, which is there to add synchronous code to utag.sync.js.

Peter

Hi @TimH

Just to follow up on @pmeyerdk it has indeed been released.

The old tags and old tag extension have been deprecated. With the new tag and extension being made live.

To note, if you are using one of the old tags, you will need to use the old extension, by either copying another you have, or asking support to add one into your profile.
