Alternate for 'sessionControl' in gtag.js Google Analtyics

With the gtag.js implementation of Google Analytics, we lost the ability to use 'sessionControl' variable through which one can force start a new Session in GA. This was particularly useful if you running your responsive website in Kiosk device and need to restart the session after a fixed period of time.

Is there any solution available in Tealium that can provides an alternative to 'sessionControl'?

** This might purely be a GA question, but just throwing it out there.

There is plenty of documentation out there that should be able to help you build an ID in Google's standard format if that matters to you.
