Custom Dimension Mapping with Cart Event

Hi I am new here,

I want to pass custom dimension like Product id, Product catagory with two different events like cart add and cart removed to Google Universal Analytics.

my questions are

1) do i need to create custom dimensions in GA for Product id and Product catagory? 

2) How many tags will i have to create to capture two different events?

1. You will need to create the custom dimensions so that you can use them in your reports

2. You will only need 1 tag to send the events through.
