Data Layer variables used previously in Tealium extensions

I have a dev resource to build a proper data layer for one page on my site. I am using already defined variables which have been currently set in the Tealium extensions and are still in use on other pages. I wonder if there possible any conflicts between this new data layer and existing extensions which still be setting the same vars on the same page. In particular I want to check if I can use the same variable in the data layer on the page which has naming format: sc_page_url_shortcut . Currently it is built in the extension and captures url of the page. Thanks

It depends on the extensions and what they are doing. Typically, if a data layer is built on the page, called utag_data and is built to best practice then the standard extensions will not clash. However it sounds like you may be building some kind of synthetic data layer using extensions, so depending on how they work and what they are doing, depends on if there may be a clash. My suspicion is that it will be fine, however if you would like someone to check, please speak to your account manager. Many thanks
