Hi,
I wanted to understand the usage of "Event Type" used in GA (gtag.js) tag when we add any custom dimension.
Problem Statement :
So, on our site, we actually have 3 utag.view leading to 3 GA calls getting fired. i have a custom dimension, let us give as index as 1 and another with index2 (both gets set on page load). Now , when i define the event type of index 1 as "page_view", the respective values are getting populated in the analytics for the respective utag.view. However, when the event type is set to "All Page Hits", the value are not with respective utag.view but the first utag.view.
Can you please explain the differences between "page_view" and "All page hits" ? How does it work? and when should we use it?
Thanks,
Priya Verma
