Generic event handler for second FB id on page

Is there any tag type which I can create, similar to the Tealium Generic Tag, which will only trigger a call based on the event happening.  In my case the event is a button click and i already have the event defined in my data layer's event_name field. Tealium Generic Tag only seems to work on page load and has no configuration for being reactive to an event.

Is there a generic even tag where I can say "event X happens, then call Y url with Z parameters" ?

My original problem is that I cannot load multiple FB pixels on a page (https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/Tags/Facebook-Pixel-Setup-Guide-for-iQ-Tag-Management/ta-p/10413#...) referenced in this link.  It shows how to add a pixel for a page view, but adding event mappings to this does nothing but continue to load the 1 url for page view on the website.  If there is another way to trigger the AddToCart or Purchase events for FB for a second FB id, that would be helpful as well.

@stevenm That article is a bit dated now and does not reflect some of the revisions to the Facebook tag. If you're using the most recent version of the pixel, you can use multiple IDs as a comma-separated list. Example below.

Thank you, I had no idea I could do that.

Is there any way to control what mappings go to which FB id, @davidcreason? I may want to run different mappings or load rules depending on the id.

@stevenm I would recommend creating a variable in the Data Layer tab to hold the Facebook IDs and map that to the tag. Then, with extensions, probably Set Data Values or Lookup Tables, you can set the ID based on conditions set within the extension(s).
