We will be running a head-to-head test between two vendors, vendor(A) and vendor(B).
To run the head-to-head test, we will randomly divide the cookie pool of users by controlling when the vendor's tag is loaded (vendor(A) 40% of the time, vendor(B) 40% of the time, and the control group 20% will not load either tag).
What is the best way to control when a tag is loaded so we can determine which vendor gives us the best results?
To expand on this if a visitor is chosen to receive vendor(A)'s tag they should continue to load vendor(A)'s tag for the next 30 days. The same would go for vendor(B) or the control group.
Is this possible?
Try using the "Split Segmentation" Extension. You can define your test groups and percentages there and then use the value of the cookie you(Tealium) set as part of your Load Rule condition for each targeted tag(s) to be tested. If you want to add the 30-day date constraint, those can be applied on each Load Rule.
