How long does a 'session' last for in the 'persist variable' extension Tealium?

What is 'session' definition for the 'persist variable' extension.

I am linking to a Google Analytics 4 instance - is there anyway to ensure my session timeout matches what is configured in that via the GA4 template tag.

Good question. The session ends when the browser window is closed. However, this behavior can vary by browser. For example, the user can control cookie behavior with a setting in Google Chrome.
