How to exclude internal visitors from tracking?

Has someony any experiences in excluding internal visitors (employees) from tracking?

On our website we have much more traffic from internal visitors than from external visitors. However, we don't want to track internal visitors at all. I.e., we don't want to get any events from internal visitors.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Re: How to exclude internal visitors from tracking?

Hi @pafe,

We usually suggest some server-side IP lookup occur on your end that determines whether or not the visitor is internal, and add that as an output as an attribute to the UDO. Tealium can then read the UDO attribute and leverage accordingly.

Also @pafe if all else fails you can set up filtering in your web analytics tools which can help you see "clean" data as well as all traffic so that you can gauge traffic volume of internal vs. external traffic.
