Is there a way to see a "diff" between two versions within a profile? The comments entered by a former employee tell me what he attempted to do, but I cannot determine what the previous version was like.

That sounds like a great idea but it's not a feature we currently have. Right now there are only two ways to see the difference: 1. If the version is on a different branch (via 'save as') you can switch to that version and compare manually. 2. You can also read all the change notes between the two versions to see what changes have been made in between. The second method would help you determine what to look for when doing the first method.
