Sporadic issues with the Adobe Analytics AppMeasurement call on landing pages

Rookie Contributor
I've been trying to diagnose an issue with our AppMeasurement for JS tag, where the page view doesn't actually get recorded on every page view of our site. It seems that somehow the tag sometimes hangs on the VisitorAPI.js callback. Has anybody else experienced this? Been working hard to try and debug this, but nothing obvious at the moment.

I may have made progress on this - basically I tried breaking out the VisitorAPI part of the AppMeasurement template into a separate pre-loader extension, and this does seem to behave more predictably.

Just to update in case anybody else experiences this - the solution of breaking up the template does seem to solve the problem.

Hey Jon, I've recently heard of other company's having this same issue, and they are not using Tealium. So initially this does not seem to be a Tealium specific issue. We are looking into what may be causing this and will update this post when we have information.

Interesting - I agree with this not being Tealium specific as well. I've actually also escalated this within Adobe Engineering. Sr Product Mgmt is aware as well.

I think this issue is related to the release of Chrome 41 (which also came out on March 11) and the different way that JavaScript is handled in that browser: http://blog.chromium.org/
