Hi
To set up Tealeaf within TiQ, the recommendation is to use the Tag from the marketplace and then scope an extension containing the config script to that tag.
If I understand the contents of the config file correctly, the main point is to define the location of the target (set as tlurl and tlsecureurl respectively).
Using Tealium, I assume the target file is hosted at Tealium. If so, would you know what the "tlurl" and "tlsecure" values are supposed to be in that case?
Your help is very much appreciated.
@jmbolfing the implementation you mentioned is correct, you will add the tag and then scope a JavaScript Extension with the code to the Tealeaf.
However, the JavaScript added in the Tealium JavaScript Extension will come from Tealeaf and contains their code for the web site. It should not need to be altered once retrieved from Tealeaf. Refer to their documentation on what the file should contain to provide the correct data to the tag.
@davidcreason: I will be working with Tealeaf to get a proper configuration file (the one in the extension).
What is special in a TMS implementation is that the teleaf.js (contents of the template) does not reside on a server location. How is this accessible to Tealeaf configuration file?
@jmbolfing, @davidcreason The contents of teleaf.js can be hosted on the tealeaf server, the client's web server or on Tealium's CDN (Content Delivery Network). If hosting on Tealium, my guess is that the contents will be part of the Template for this tag, however I am not sure. I would need more details to be sure about this part of the equation. It might be easier to have the contens as part of a Tealium Extension scoped to the tag.
@jmbolfing, You can open a support case at: https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/custom/page/page-id/support-contact-form and and a Tealium Support Engineer will look into the details with you.
Brian
@brian_kranson, @davidcreason: Thanks for your help. Yes, the contents of tealeaf.js are part of the template of the Tealeaf tag. The files referenced to in the configuration file (= extension) is TealeafTarget.jsp. I had not paid attention to this yet, but I'll make a test asap with that file in the right location and would open a support ticket if it does not work.
Kind regards...Jean-Marc
