Tealium version getting updated but tag script is four versions old

Hi Everyone, In tealium, added an extension and then made some changes in subsequent version. When I checked the browser, I could not find the updated code in respective tag script although the tealium version (web companion and console) was showing as updated one. I finally deleted the extension but still in browser the old tag script was showing (the one where extension was added). I had checked both Firefox and Chrome. Please let me know why the browser is not reflecting updated tag script. Thanks Disa

Hi @Disa - try another browser, try to 'hard refresh' the browser (CTRL+F5).

Also, have you published the changes to the environment you are testing?  I know it's a dumb question, but  we have  to start somewhere!

Is this on a public website? Can you  provide a url for testing?

Hi @Disa ,

Did you create a new version of extension? Before you publish the extension did you approve the publish for extension to corresponding environment? You need to approve the publish everytime you made change to the extension otherwise it will get updated in the CDN.

Thanks

Yes I had published and approved. What I had to do to fix the problem was to create a text extension and scope it to the Adobe Analytics tag and publish. The Adobe Analytics tag script started reflecting the changes then but ideally in the first instance it should have reflected the same. This is a tealium bug I guess and they should fix it.
