Using the Link Tracker extension, I am getting an output of "Javascript Variables599" for the link_text

I have added internal filters for the link to block out anything 'javascript' or 'variable' related, but it is still coming through. Any thoughts? Will the Link Tracker fire if you use a utag.link or utag.view call? And if so how would that value be populating? Also, is there a way to prevent the Tag Companion and Universal Data Object windows from populating the link extension as well? They are showing up as external links. Actually, now that I think about it, that is what the "Javascript Variables599" item is. That is the Tag Companion link for the "Javascript Variables (599)". So, I just need a way to suppress the Tag Companion from firing through the Link Tracker.

Hi Steve, I think to best answer your question if you could provide the page in question that would certainly help. We do recommend using the jQuery event handler extensions now rather than the link tracking extension. The tag companion Data options are being picked up because they are tags with a href value of http://yoursite.com/# which is why the filtering does not stop this. My ...
