Hi, our client is 'XXXX'

I wanted to check for changes in a certain extension, so I was wondering if there is any way we could achieve that?

So far I have come across this Tealium Tool called 'profile exporter' which exports all the changes but gives no detail on which tags, load rules, extensions have changed...

Any advice is welcome :)

Yours Sincerelly,

Bruno.

Hi @bmoris - try the "Diff" tool for starters.

Hope this helps, looking forward to your update!

@bmoris The diff tool mentioned will show you changes at the code level. If you are comfortable reading JavaScript and can identify the extension in the code, then that might work for you.

Another method is using the Extension History Tealium Tool. This tool will show you the version history items that relate to a specific extension, but the information will only be as helpful as the comments provided by the user that made the changes.

Hi Justin,

Thanks for sharing the "Extension History Tealium Tool" it is quite interesting.

Historically, or I think so, you could 'eye' check changes through the 'Versions' tab, without directly using diff compare tools between two versions.

The main reason behind my question is that currently it seems like some changes into custom javascript extensions are not being detected and therefore they are not explicitly signaled.

Therefore I have no fast and easy way of tracking changes from version to version.

It would also be awesome if that information would be included when you export the 'Versions' information through the 'Profile Exporter' tool.

Bruno.
