What is the utag.v.js file doing?

Hi,

Just a question from our performance team, wondering what the purpose of the utag.v.js file is? Is it critical to the operation of Tealium IQ for tag management?

It counts visits, if I recall correctly, so it's not essential to the operation of TIQ but it might be essential to the billing on your account..

I have in the past successfully disabled it because of issues it was causing, but you might be best off talking to your account manager before doing so in case it creates an issue with tracking your usage.
