Why GA checkout_step tag cannot fire on the last step in the funnel?

Same settings across all pages in the checkout funnel but checkout_step value cannot pass to GA on the order confirmation page. Is that a problem with E-Commerce extension that may override/ crashed with some of the other settings? Please advice, thanks.

Hi Timothy, This is an oversight in our GA template. The checkout step was missing from the template on the order confirmation page, which is why it wasn't being sent. I will contact you separately with details of the fix. Thanks, Craig.

According to official doc and implementations we do, confirmation page should not have a step, it is not a checkout step, it is a purchsae action.

That's good info - thanks, Monica. I'm inclined to agree with you - since there is no possibility for cart abandonment/dropoff at the confirmation page, I don't suppose it's very useful sending the checkout step at this stage.
