how do we view the data layer instance for the Tealium sdk installed in native app. While I am able to debug the calls through Charles, I am not sure how can I view the data layer variables for a particular screen

Hello there, 

A payload will be sent thorough to charles proxy for the particular screen you are on and in that payload will be present all the datalayer variables that the dev team has populated to be sent. You should be able to copy the payload as it will be a JSON object and thus look at the data layer variables that way. The following documentation also has other ways to troubleshoot mobile apps.
