do you consider to have a tag for Google tag manager?

We are implementing Tealium across our web sites, some region used Google tag manager already, which we do not want to replace directly, as owned by agency for their tags; but plan to use Tealium to manage our tags and also if possible include that GTM in tealium, any thoughts?

Hi Gang, This is essentially known as piggy-packing. This is similar to using Tealium to load DoubleClick or Atlas whose response is a "javascript/application" to load several other vendors. Though this is not a best practice as the tiered tag loading can cause issues with the page loading due to logic that is out of our control. Now, that's not to say that others haven't done this by using a Tealium custom container. Just please be aware that aside from Tealium loading GTM we will not support any issues that arise with tags loading via GTM.

in this case, we probably better to just have two independant tag managemnt for the time being, and aiming it to be absorbed late into our Tealium one. Which is not ideal though. thanks for your answer.

This is a great question, especially since I now see a Google Tag Manager tag in the Add A Tag "gallery" within TiQ.   I'm glad to see GTM as an option within TiQ, however I haven't yet found much discussion or documentation around it. (at least little can be found with the search function).

Firing GTM within Tealium looks to be a great option for SaaS sites who need to support a customer-provided GTM container. At least that's why I'm interested in this.   Hope to stir up some new conversation with my comment here, thanks!
