iQ into injected page within page with existing iQ

We have an external hosted page that will be included via script injection into another page that already has an iQ profile implemented. As we have no access to this profile we want to include another profile into the external page that will be injected.

Could there be problems with several utag.js files and utag_data naming issues?

Do you know a way to A: rename the utag files and B: rename the utag_data object?

Thanks,

Ronny

Hi @ronny_wilke

It depends how it's being injected.   If it's in an iFrame, then no problem at all.

If it's on the same page, then yes it's going to have issues and the object names will clash.

There are ways to change the utag filenames and datalayer namespaces, but this is done on a profile level, not per page, and it won't change the fact that you will have clashes in load rules and global functions.

Please could you let us know a bit more about why you need two profiles on one page - there may be another way around it.  (If you want to drop us an email instead of posting on here, that's fine as we're working together anyway)

Thanks

Hi @steve_lake, thanks for your reply.

It's a non-iframe injection with JavaScript.

I will send you an email with details.

Thanks, Ronny
