is there a predefined variable to track logged in status?

Employee Emeritus

Hi Shailesh, Thanks for your question. In the 'Customer Data Source's bundle there is a variable called 'customer_status' which is default recommendation for storing whether a customer is logged in or not: https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/Tealium-iQ/Data-Layer-Wizard/ta-p/13556 However, it won't be automatically populated as Tealium has no way of knowing whether customer is logged in without being told by the Universal Data Object (i.e. utag_data), or a dynamic call (e.g. utag.view() or utag.link()) or by writing an extension to set this variable if you know how to detect it (e.g. from cookies etc). I hope this helps! Thanks, Roshan

thanks Roshan for your answer. I have one more query. I have defined a data variable which fires only on the Page view and it is not firing on the event. What would be the issue? Also, is there any advance setting through which i can define a global variable which will be fired for every page view and event?

Hi Shailesh, No problem. If you need a variable to fire on every page view and event a normal 'set data values' extension will set this for all events (inc page views). Could you share you account/profile with roshan@tealium.com and let me know where it is? I can take a look at the issue you are having. Cheers, Roshan
