Create ODBC Data Source

To connect Power BI to DataAccess, an ODBC Data Source connection is required.

To create an ODBC data source in Power BI:

  1. Install the Amazon Redshift Driver for Windows
  2. Create a system DSN entry for an ODBC connection
    • Be sure to use "System DSN"
  3. Your configurations should mimic the following:
    Example ODBC Setup.png
  4. Once the ODBC Data Source has been configured, click the Test button. If the client computer can connect to the Amazon Redshift database, you will see the following message: Connection successful.
  5. Close the ODBC configurations.
