Hello @dan_george , not much to report I'm afraid. I remade the connector setup, creating the audience from within there. Then connected the created audience to the Ad set in Facebook. Got it reviewed and set to active. Three persons now have tested by logging into the test website, got the audience set (which I have traced OK) then logging into Facebook using the same email address to look for the ad to show up but to no avail. Since I set the email address as the data to push into Facebook I guess it is a 1:1 ratio of who sees the ad since there is no limitations to the custom audience settings in FB (other than a very low budget...) and I also guess that the ad should show up in not more than 5-10 minutes (to get some decent retargeting effect). I have run out of ideas... Either something is not working properly (in the connector) or it is still something I miss in the total setup. Disappointing regardless.

@dan_george Thanks for digging into this. However, when I again read the documentation provided here these things don't add up. This is what it says about custom audiences in the connector setup: "On the Facebook site, you will have the option to create audiences based on a customer list, website traffic, or app activity. For this example, create your audience based on a customer list. It is also worth noting that in order to use your custom audience, it must contain a minimum of 20 entries. If your audience has been created successfully, a small "check" icon should now appear beside the button." That whole section needs a review since I have the feeling that the author mixes the two different approaches to the creation of the custom audience, either from the Connector setup or from within Facebook. I will test what you suggest, not using a customer file audience, and see if I can get it to work.

OK let's hope that your colleague will be able to jump into this thread, @dan_george. If FB internally hashes the email addresses in the customer file I can clearly see a potential risk that no match will be found with the connector 'poking' FB. I did try another type of audience in FB in the first run, but I never managed to get it to work. With a customer file there is a much more clear relation, at least during initial tests.

I am trying out the Facebook connector for retargeting a custom audience. The documentation and the reality do not match entirely. Maybe someone has an idea to use. I would like to try out the feature by using a finite customer list in FB, containing email addresses (more than 20, I know). I have an ad using this audience, it is reviewed and OK. In Audiencestream, in the connector setup, Action tab, the Custom audience must be selected. On the other hand it says 'Audiences created from customer files are not displayed'. Hmm... In the documentation provided you recommend that audience is created from the Connector, which I did. I however never got the small check mark in the connector setup. I then added the customer file in FB. So my question is, how should I understand the required field for the custom audience in the connector, which cannot be displayed since it is based on a customer file. How is the connection then made to FB? Can I even expect this to work? Thanks Per

Too often we loose work done because Audiencestream does not warn for pending changes from other concurrent users. You save and a bit later hear colleagues scream... When will Audiencestream have a decent support for multi-user work?

Great, our conclusion, also doing some additional tests, was also that we need a proper way to handle header values. Content type we didn't know of so that's a bonus. Thanks a lot for your assistance.

A quick test with key-value switched to value-key shows no difference. I get exactly the same error message, a 401 with the message "MissingToken: The authorization header was not found." To me this sounds like the header string is not sent at all. Btw, the title of this field "Header cookie data"; what exactly does that mean? "Header data" is comprehensible and what I expect, an extra line in the header sent with the data entered. But what has the word "cookie" to do with this?

I want to send Audiencedata to a servicebus in Azure for every session that ends. I use the generic Webhook connector (since the "AudienceDirect" one recently was deprecated). I get http 401 errors back. The servicebus accepting https posts looks like this https://xxxxxxxx.servicebus.windows.net/tealiumhub/messages?timeout=60&api-version=2014-02-20HTTP/1.1 and I send username/password credentials. The webhook has a possibility of mapping custom values in the request, but this field is not documented anywhere (that I can find..) Is it perhaps some additional piece data that the servicebus expects that should be sent using this mapping? Anyone done something similar towards Azure or similar service bus?

The new 'cloud delivery' feature was announced at a webinar a couple of weeks ago and I had the impression it was something that was ready for a handful of tags, for example Google universal analytics. We now run 5.03 Mobile SDK and it still calls for mobile.html>utag.js. No sight of the announced REST api. What happened? Is it not live yet? It is a very cool and useful "feature" and we would love to start using it, especially for mobile applications.. Cheers /Per

It is the vendor who has asked us to change from IFRAME to IMG @meng_lim. Why can't I just change the template setting accordingly? What do you mean with "grab the IMG version of the template" and "..the IFRAME version"? I thought the template settings change the rendering of the tag code.

We use the generic Tealium Pixel/Ifram container tag sometimes to fire simple pixels. They have, until now, always been used with the IFRAME setting. Now I have changed one pixel to fire as a IMG, since the vendor want's that instead. But, it doesn't work, it still renders as an IFRAME. (And yes, I have the latest template version.. :-) I read in a support document: From the 'Type' drop-down list, select the type of pixel, either image or iframe. If you select image, be aware that the expected response is an image. The Tag will not work if the response is not an image. If you select iframe, the response can be any type of HTML. Does this mean that the responding server (with Adscale) is not configured to receive this without an IFRAME?

Since we have a global profile which the local profiles inherits from, templates in that global profile of course must be updated from the global profile... Didn't realise that, silly me. Also, tags based on the Tealium pixel template, even if I only use the form fields, they will not update. So I guess I have to re-make them manually. Boring :-)

Started today some work on going through all profiles and update templates to the latest version. I noticed that some templates, reported by the Tag Status as not customised, and not using the latest version of the tag code still cannot be updated. The trash bin button is greyed out. Why is it like that for some templates and is there something I can do about it. One example is the Google plus tag which does not allow me to update.

Got a question from one of our developers; If we should start to use requirejs as a loader for javascript, how would that impact utag.js? Should we expect problems of some kind? Is it recommended to load utag.js from within requirejs even? Anyone has tried this framework with Tealium IQ? Thanks Per L

It seems to be a small but troublesome bug in the Adscale retargetting tag code. In the pixel URI, the parameters are not separated from the adress with the questionmark but with the ampersand: http://rh.adscale.de/rh/12736/pixel&_rnd=0.2449354601558298 instead of http://rh.adscale.de/rh/12736/pixel?_rnd=0.2449354601558298 I run the latest tag version. What would be the quickest way around this, while waiting for a new tag version?

Hi Brian and thanks for reaching out. Should have mentioned that I don't use the specific Sessioncam tag (I don't think it was in the library a year ago when we started..). So, yes I use the generic tag and do exactly as you propose, map a couple of extra parameters. However they don't turn up in Sessioncam, neither I nor the Sessioncam support can find them. But, now I know that this is the way it should be done :-) which is good. I will dig a bit deeper together with a collegue and hope to find the problem.

I need to pass a couple of custom parameters to Sessioncam. Reading the short IQ tag instructions it says ""Map any number of items to build the pixel query string values". Since Sessioncam takes key-value-pairs as input I thought that mapping what I need would push them into Sessioncam. This seems not to be the case, they don't turn up in Sessioncam. (There is a field in the Sessioncam tag called "static params" but I guess they are not what I need, since the values I want vary per page.) What I am missing out here? Or do I need to tweak the template code still? Best regards Per
