Thank you very much @adrian_browning How would the code look like if we want to apply this only to the first page on the first session? Because that is where we miss the value with our current implementation. After that the cookie will be already set in the browser and and the cd will get populated with the GUA tag. thanks again for your help.

Dear Community, we collect the _ga User ID from the _ga cookie and place it into a custom dimension through a "Set Value" extension which is mapped to the tag. Unfortunately this value becomes available when the _ga cookie is generated which happens when the GUA tag fires and therefore the custom dimension is not populated on the first interaction with the website. Are you aware of any solution to fix this? Thank you very much in advance for your help. KR, Mattia

Hi Community, I am trying to implement a scroll down tracking for some of our web pages and came across this post https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/Tealium-iQ/I-was-wondering-if-it-was-possible-to-set-up-an-event-to-fire/m-p/8352/highlight/true#M2705 Unfortunately I am was not able to get it done and I was wondering if anybody from the community could help me. What I am trying to achieve is exactly what the post say "firing a virtual pageviews or event when reaching an h3 element on the page" and it would be great if you could drive me through the process step by step. Hi @david_bird I know sometimes it is very difficult to place into context all the requirements users post on the community especially because not all the users are developer and often not familiar with custom tricks. You have anyway managed to drive me to the right direction and I have solved this and thought to share it with the community. 1-Using a jQuery handler extension in order to set the value of a variable registering interactions with the check box (thank David for the code which I just needed to modify) below the code I have used: jQuery(document.body).ready(function () { jQuery("#copy and paste here the checkbox id from your html code").change(function(){ if (jQuery(this).is(':checked')){ utag.link({ "UDO variable name as set into data layers tab":"checked" }); jQuery(this).attr('id'); } else utag.link({ "UDO variable name as set into data layers tab":"unchecked" }); }); }); 2-Set persist value to place your UDO variable name as set into data layers tab into a cookie 3-duplicate the persist value extension and set to text as checked in order to set default value of the cookie adding the condition yourcookie is not defined Hope this can help other users. However, my last question is are you aware of any way to select multiple elements (check boxes) through jQuery selector as the ids all begin with the same string edit-submitted-subscribe-to-promotions Thanks again for the support.

Hi @david_bird, thanks again for your advices, I see now the value of the check box into the console log as for your screenshot through a custom jQuery handler extension. Now I only need to map this value to a custom dimension through either a cookie or an UDO. could you help? Thanks again :)

Hi @david_bird Could you explain more in details please? Should I create a custom extension JQuery onHandler in order to capture forms sent with the checkbox checked or unchecked? Thank you very much for your patience :)

Hi @david_bird Thank you very much for your answer. How do I use this to track users that submit a form with the check box selected or not? In other words I need to track subscribers and not subscribers to a newsletter. Is this possible? The check box is set by default as checked and when I uncheck it the value doesn't change.

Hi Community, I am interested in tracking if a check box on a form was selected on the time a user generate the lead. I am interested in tracking both if selected will have value 1 if not value 0. I have seen this post https://community.tealiumiq.com/t5/Tealium-iQ/Dynamic-Google-Analytics-Event-Label-Input-ID-Values/m-p/5175/highlight/true#M13 but I am not sure this can be the solution I am after. Dear all, I have fixed the issue creating a set value extension with js code utag.loader.RC("utag_main")._pn and then mapped it with the CD into the tag. thank you for your help.

Hi @adrian_browning , Thank you very much for your answer and I can see why you say that and that's the same feeling I had but this is not working either. Any other ideas? Loading the parameter from the console with the syntax utag.loader.RC("utag_main")._pn it returns the correct value. How do I place this value in a CD?

Hi @david_bird, No I am using a normal Set Value extension and not a Persistent one. I am storing the cookie within the utag_main. I have also checked the cookie on the page and it contains the value I am looking for. I have tried to combine this value with a GA generated cookie and the GA is parsed correctly and the pn value returns as undefined. This is the reason why I think it has something to do with when the cookie is generated and might be that the value is mapped before being generated. Might this be a reason for you? If yes how do I make sure the data source is created before the value is mapped to the dimension?

Dear Community, I have been trying to set utag_main_pn and utag_main_sn cookie parameters to custom dimensions in GA but it seems not working. I have created a first party cookie data source and name it utag_main_pn, then I have created a UDO variable with the JS code b["cp.utag_main_pn"]. Then, mapped this UDO variable to a custom dimensions I have created in GA but it seems not working. What am I doing wrong? Thank you very much for your support.

Hi, I have been trying to set up a jQuery handler that will fire an event every time that a user clicks to buttons that lead to external pages and populate the event label dimension with the href of each link clicked. How do I do it? Thank you very much in advance.
