Badge Associations

Badge Associations allow you to quickly assign multiple Badges based on other Badges the visitor has earned. There are two ways to create Badge Associations: either create an Enrichment or use the interactive Badge Associations wizard.

Creating the Enrichment (for new or existing Badges)

1. Navigate to the Attributes menu located under the Enrich tab.
2. Add a new Badge or click the edit icon for the Badge to which you want to append other Badge(s).
3. Click 'Create Enrichment' and select "Assign Badge from another Badge".
   

   

4. From the drop-down, select the Badge you wish to assign.
5. Repeat steps 2 - 4 to assign more Badges.
   

   

6. Click Save.
7. When you are done, save your profile to apply the changes.

Using the Badge Association Wizard (for existing Badges only)

1. In the Attributes tab, locate the Badge to which you want to assign and expand its settings.
2. Click the Badge Association icon in the top-right tip of the panel.
   

   

3. Click the + icon and select a Badge that you wish to assign.

Understanding the Badge Association Wizard

Click on an existing Badge to display this wizard. You will notice the currently-assigned Badge is always in the center column with arrows on each side. The arrows always point in the direction of the recipient Badge. You can assign any number of Badges to the current and the recipient badge; however you can't reassign a recipient back to its donor Badge. Take a look at the example below.

Notice the 'Car Badge' in the center is currently assigned to qualifying visitors. Here's how the other Badge assignments will trigger.

1. Qualifying visitors receive the Car Badge.
2. Car Badge visitors are automatically assigned 'Tesla' and 'Fun Cars' badges.
3. Fancy Cars Badge visitors are automatically assigned 'Car', 'Tesla' and 'Fun Cars' badges.
4. Electric Badge visitors are automatically assigned 'Car', 'Tesla' and 'Fun Cars' badges.

REMEMBER: You can't assign any of the recipient Badges ('FancyCars' or 'Electric') back to its donors ('Tesla or Fun Cars'). If you attempt to do so, you will see this error message.
