Marking Solutions as Accepted

Welcome to a spin-off of our TLC Tips series! The TLC Team is introducing tiny TLC Tips, or quick explanations on some of the most useful features in our community. This tiny tip is about Accepted Solutions. 

Accepted Solutions are a way for you to choose the reply that is the best answer to a question you posted. When you do this you help other members identify the most helpful reply to your question and you show appreciation to the the author of the solution. It's a win-win!

When you accept a solution, both the question and the answer get a special icon indicating that your question has been solved. The Accepted Solution icon also shows in topic list pages and search results so that all members can see which posts have solutions. This is especially helpful for future users who might have the same question and are looking for answers.

The accepted solution also adds a link that takes you directly from the question to the answer, which can be helpful in a long thread of replies. Just click Go to Solution to jump directly to the answer.

You can mark a reply as an accepted solution only for questions that you have posted. To accept a reply as a solution, click Accept as Solution on the reply.

If the question receives another reply that provides an even better answer, you can revoke the first solution, then accept the new reply. To revoke an accepted solution, click Options > Not the Solution.

The most important part of Accepted Solutions is that they help other members find answers more quickly. Make sure to revisit your post and mark an answer as a solution if it fits. It will help support other Tealium users in the future.
